Debuting later this month, the Galaxies Gaming Showcase is a brand-new event packed with exclusive updates on upcoming games... including the highly-anticipated FBC: Firebreak
Hosted by British Games Journalist, Jane Douglas, the livestream promises to showcase "new games, exclusive reveals and surprise announcements in this vibrant celebration of gaming's future", with games from Konami, Saber, Futurlap, Team 17, Kinetic Games, Secret Mode, VOID Interactive, Remedy and more.
The story behind its creation is one that a lot of studios struggle with, particularly if you're a small studio. Founder Chris Thomas states that “The right moment, the right spotlight, can change everything for a game and its creators. With 300 games hitting Steam every week and the same handful of big IPs dominating the charts, discoverability has become a problem. With Galaxies we are creating a new moment in the gaming calendar, one that we hope will help players find their next favourite game and one that can benefit publishers and developers of all sizes.”
Not much has been revealed on what Remedy will be revealing when it comes FBC: Firebreak, but their social media channels have teased that it will be a trailer. With a launch date of Summer 2024, make sure to tune in.
