1st April 2025 Remedy Explores FBC: Firebreak's New Dating Simulator Feature In New April Fool's Post

Over the years, Remedy has marked April 1st with a creative in-joke, and celebrates with my favourite type of April Fool's, nerdy in-jokes. Whether it was Alan Wake Wars, Remedy Coffee, or a Technicolour Mode for Control, the turn of the month has been the trigger for another entry to the memes. This year, the studio was back with a game announcement, and one that we're mysteriously intrigued by; FBC: Firebreak's Directional Affection-Targeting Explicator. 

"FBC: Firebreak will release with a unique tool - the Directional Affection-Targeting Explicator (DATE). Using the DATE activates a mode in the game which allows you and your fellow Firebreakers to approach the Job you're on differently. With the power of flirting. Work together to maximise the DATE's potential, choose the best pick-up lines, and complete the mission without ever firing your weapon."

The social media post comes with a screenshot of the mode in action, featuring a very quickly beloved enemy. If you like long autumn walks with the leaves rustling, or you like that new book smell, this new feature may be the one for you!
