There are places in our world where fiction and dreams can come true.

International Women's Day 2025
[A Selection of Game Talks from Lead Female Developers]

Today is International Women's Day! Before we jump into the post, I want to thank all the incredible women who have worked at Remedy, past and present.

Especially so in recent years, it can sometimes be a challenging industry to work in, but the games aren't made by companies, they're made by people. You're in those rooms and making a difference. Whether you work directly on the games, you help gain awareness for them, or you help to support those teams, your work matters, and it's appreciated.

International Women's Day has been celebrated yearly, in some form or another, since 1909. It found its home on 8th of March in 1910 and was later adopted by the United Nations in 1975. Originally a political movement, it's now a day to commemorate inclusivity and the achievements of women across the globe and to reflect on how far we've come and how we have to go in the pursuit of equality.

This year, the theme is #AccelerateAction. When it comes to lectures and interviews, I love learning about my own area, but there's something really exciting about learning different perspectives from different departments in games. If you work in the industry, learning more about how games work helps you grow, expanding your knowledge and skill set.

Whether you're an aspiring game developer or interested in learning what goes into your favourite games. I've collected a number of talks and interviews from leading female developers over the years....
