The New York Game Awards, hosted annually by the New York Video Game Critic Circle (NYVGCC), will be kicking off this Tuesday at the SVA Theatre! With the day drawing closer, the organisers have been filling our feeds with exciting teasers of what viewers can expect. For Remedy fans, there's a lot to look forward to including Sam Lake's acceptance of the Legend Award, special guest presenters, and an special raffle for those in attendance.

Guest Presenters. First up, let's take a look at the guest list! Taking to the stage will be series of wonderful Alan Wake actors, including Janina Gavankar (Actor, Agent Kieran Estevez), David Harewood (Actor, Warlin Door), and Matthew Porretta (Actor, Alan Wake, Dr Casper Darling). Though their segment haven't been revealed, make sure to keep an eye out during the broadcast for some familiar faces!

All proceeds from the New York Game Awards will go to support the New York Videogame Critics Circle’s Playing With Purpose program, which provides "underserved students with invaluable opportunities. Alan Wake Nomination. Alan Wake 2's Expansion Pack featuring Night Springs and The Lake House has been nominated for the NYC GWB Award for Best DLC. It's up against some tough competition including: Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown – Mask of Darkness, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, Remnant 2: The Dark Horizon, Splatoon 3: Side Order and Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred. On the Legend Award, Harold Goldberg (President and Co-Founder of the NYVGCC) stated, “What an honor it is to celebrate someone of Sam Lake’s caliber during the 14th annual New York Game Awards. You know a Remedy game when you see it, largely due to Sam Lake’s impact on the worlds he creates. It’s really cool to see how his 20-year career at Remedy has touched so many of our members and interns at the Circle, and we are thrilled to have him join the roster of esteemed game changers previously recognized with the Andrew Yoon Legend Award.”
To celebrate his work and the achievement, Sam will also have a new track by Mega Ran, dedicated to him at the show.
