Remedy's Creative Director, Sam Lake, has been announced as one of four guest presenters set to take to the stage at the upcoming Game Awards 2024, hosted by Geoff Keighley.
The reveal was made via the organiser's social media channels earlier today, marking the final week before the event goes live. Lake is set to join Laura Bailey (actor), Aaron Paul (actor), and Hideo Kojima (developer and advisory board member) on the stage for a night of celebration.
The Game Awards 2024 will be streamed live on Thursday, December 12th from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. A limit number of public tickets have been made available*, but if you can't make it in person, you can watch via YouTube and Twitch with us.
For those who are unfamiliar with The Game Awards, the ceremony celebrate the success, creativity and endurance of the developers who have released adventures over the past twelve months. To create the short list, nominees for the majority of categories are selected by an international jury of over 100 global media outlets and influencers, with specific categories featuring a specialised talent. The top five games that appear most are put forward for the shortlist. Winners are determined based on a blended vote; public voting (10%) and voting jury (90%). Unlike many similar award ceremonies, there is no submission process or entry fee for a game to be submitted.
