If you're in Los Angeles next week, you might want to check this event out! On December 10th at 5pm PST, Amoeba Hollywood will be hosting a special signing event with music artist in celebration of POE's upcoming vinyl release, This Road.
As the tracks on the vinyl were created with Alan Wake 2 in mind, there's a theme for the night. Attending the signing will be the wonderful artist herself, POE, alongside Remedy's Creative Director, Sam Lake.
There are some rules in place for attendees, with one vinyl per person, purchased on the day at Amoeba Hollywood. There will be no outside or additional items permitted for the signings and due to limited time, the organisers have stated that no photos or personalised will be possible. For more information, check out their website, HERE.
As for the launch piece itself, the Limited Edition 12" vinyl covering the two songs featured in Alan Wake 2; This Road (AW) and 6 Deep Breaths, the latter of which recently featured in the expansion pack, The Lake House. The cover is a simple design, described as a single gatefold securing the vinyl, alongside images of the potential final design. Originally available exclusively on POE's webstore, the first printing sold out extremely quickly, with a second printing announced soon after. The vinyl at Amoeba Hollywood will be part of the second printing.
Poe is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer whose music career kicked off in 1994 when she signed to Modern Records. By 1995, she released her first album, Hello, which received raved reviews and received a Gold certification in the US. Five years later, she was back with the album, Haunted, which contained its iconic track of the same name.
In Alan Wake, the studio used Poe's Haunted, an eerily beautiful song, to bring chapter two to a close. For the sequel, she has a much greater presence in the game, providing the end-of-chapter songs to each of the Dark Place segments and in The Lake House expansion.
