Update 3/12/2024: The question submission period is over with Olli posting an update on what fans can expect next...
Original Post: Something a little unexpected to end the week! Olli Tukianinen, the lead guitarist of Poets of the Fall and Old Gods of Asgard is asking fans to send in their questions for an upcoming (and rare) Q&A.
In a recording posted on his Instagram page, he invites followers to leave a comment if they have a question in mind, “Hello everyone. I have some excellent news for you. I'll be doing a question and answer session next week, so of course, I would like all of you to participate in this. Which means that you can send all kinds of questions. Please put them on the comments below. Tiia will go through all of those questions and select as many of yours as possible. It will be a spontaneous, I hope it will be fun as well, I'm pretty sure it will be. And let's see what happens! Anyways, thank you already, in advanced. We'll see what happens!”
Olli (aka Ollie T) is set to launch his debut solo album, Lost Within The Fire, on December 13th. Pre-orders for the album are available via Backstage Rock Shop.
If you have a question, make sure to get it in quick, as the recording will take place over the next few days. Post in the comments of THIS video for your chance to be featured. At the time of writing, over 130 questions have been submitted.
Tukiainen is one of the founding members of Poets of the Fall and has remained their guitarist for the past two decades, providing the band's iconic epic guitar solos, since their formation back in 2003. While his solo artist brand is a recent creation, you're bound to be deeply familiar with his work, which can be heard in Max Payne 2 (Late Goodbye), Alan Wake (War, Children of the Elder God, and The Poet and the Muse), Death Rally 2011/12 (Can You Hear Me), Alan Wake's American Nightmare (Balance Slays the Demon and The Happy Song), Control (Take Control and My Dark Disquiet) and finally Alan Wake 2 (Herald of Darkness, Dark Ocean Summoning, and Anger's Remorse).
Most recently, he took on the role of fictional character, Bob Balder, in Alan Wake 2, and on stage at The Game Awards 2023 when Old Gods of Asgard performed Herald of Darkness live.
