Last week, Poe and Sam Lake travelled to Amoeba Hollywood in Los Angeles, for a special signing of the artist's latest release, This Road. Inspired by Alan Wake 2, the 12" vinyl features both the title track, This Road, and 6 Deep Breaths as featured in Remedy's latest adventure. With Sam already in the West Coast for The Game Awards, the duo teamed up for a special event; during the day the two would sign copies of the vinyl and pose for photographs with fans, in the evening they would take part in a special live performance hosted by Siren Society.
The live performance was held at the EastWest Studios, where Poe dazzled listeners with performances of her latest works in the Frank Sinatra room. While it's hard to find out for sure, the event looks to be invite-only, though recordings were allowed to take place with many sharing their memories of the night to Instagram.
While the events were targeted for those who were able to attend in person, there is a treat for those following online. On the day, Ethan Huang (Editor and Producer for Annenerg Media) sat down with both artists in a rare double interview. In the discussion, Poe talks about the complicated reasons behind her public hiatus from music, her connection to Alan Wake, and the original discussions which kindled their collaboration.
