To wrap up the year, BeHaviour Interactive has released an update, kickstarting Dead By Daylight's new festive event. Well... “festive” in A Nightmare Before Christmas sense.
The event, appropriately named Bone Chill 2024, brings new outfits, new rewards, new hiding places and a new map; the Ormond Lake Mine. Most importantly, though, it brings Alan Wake in a dapper new outfit.
That's right! For Christmas, Alan Wake has been gifted an "ugly sweater”. Listed on the store as the Deerfest Celebration, the jumper is described as, “a souvenir from Bright Fall's most beloved holiday”. The piece costs 250 Auric Cells and features the Cult of the Tree mask alongside two deer on the front and a lighthouse on the back. Lining the top and bottom of the jumper are a row of trees, carefully knitted into neat rows.
While in our hearts the Alan Wake jumper is the item that this whole event revolves around, BeHaviour has some pretty nice treats in store in the update. For instance, the aforementioned Ormond Lake Mine, covered in snow and swarming in a wintery-haze, is not exclusive to Bone Chill but as a permanent addition to the game.
There are also a number of other characters receiving the ugly jumper treatment including Sable Ward, Turie Cain and Aestri Yazer, with new festive skins available for The Blight, The Legion and Jonah Vasquez. Within the game, the studio is bringing back the snowmen, an environmental item allows you (survivor or killer) to hide within and control. Plus, those that dive into the experience between now and January 6th, will unlock daily Bloodpoints. All in all, very good things are happening!
