Last week, Poets of the Fall's guitarist, Olli Tukiainen, released his latest single and accompanying music video, Livin' the Dream!
The track features a number of familiar faces, and has collected over twenty thousand views on the Poets of the Fall YouTube channel in the past six days alone. The piece marks Ollie T's second single since the brand was formed six years ago with the debut track, Firefly. Since the launch, there might have been a few unpredicted events such as the pandemic, which impacted touring artists, and the formation of the fictional band, Old Gods of Asgard.
While the POTF channel hosts the official music video, the backing track can also be listened to separately on the artist's own YouTube channel.
Tukiainen is one of the founding members of Poets of the Fall and has remained guitarist, providing the band's iconic epic guitar solos, since their formation back in 2003. While his solo artist brand is a recent creation, you're bound to be deeply familiar with his work, which can be heard in Max Payne 2 (Late Goodbye), Alan Wake (War, Children of the Elder God, and The Poet and the Muse), Death Rally 2011/12 (Can You Hear Me), Alan Wake's American Nightmare (Balance Slays the Demon and The Happy Song), Control (Take Control and My Dark Disquiet) and finally Alan Wake 2 (Herald of Darkness, Dark Ocean Summoning, and Anger's Remorse).
Most recently, he took on the role of fictional character, Bob Balder, in Alan Wake 2, and on stage at The Game Awards 2023 when Old Gods of Asgard performed Herald of Darkness live.
