Five years on from Control's launch, the community is still thriving and celebrating the weird and wonderful nature of the game. Over the years, there's been cosplays, artwork, fan fiction, virtual photography, and fan-driven events. This latest one, being held today, is a rather unusual art challenge, but if anything Control fans love the weird.
Today is Control Sticky Note Day, a debuting event which meshes sticky notes and Control. Inspired by the post-it room in the game, and spearheaded by Tammy Quarry on Twitter, the event tasks you to grab your nearest post-it note stack and create something to connect it to the adventure.
The entire thing was kindled following a conversation between Tammy, Juha, and TheMiniestMuffin on just doing something fun, relaxed, and nerdy. So, for the challenge, fans are tasked by Tammy to “decorate your space with notes of your choice. Create a cosplay made of sticky notes. Show us your VP skills. Use whatever sort of fun, chaos, and general tomfoolery you'd like and share some photos to celebrate the Sticky Note Room in Control!”
