Control Ultimate Edition Joins Xbox Free Play Days
[Plus Discounts on Both PC and Xbox Editions]

This weekend, 505 Games has campaigns across both PC and Xbox. If you're an Alan Wake fan who has yet to explore The Oldest House, this might be a good opportunity to jump in and check out how weird Remedy can get. (It's pretty weird.)

First up, let's check out the Xbox side! While the Free Play Days catalogue is larger if you have an Xbox Game Pass subscription, all players can check out Ghostrunner and Control over the weekend.

Control is included as part of the Xbox Game Pass, which is likely why that specific game is being open to all players to check out. But if you don't have a subscription, or you prefer to own your games, the title is also available to purchase for $7.49, which is one of the lowest prices that we've seen the game at. While the Free Play Days end after this weekend, the game discount continues throughout the rest of September.

In the sale, only the base game of Control is discounted by 75%, but players can purchase the DLC or Season Pass separately at 70% off. You can check out the store page, HERE

If you're an Xbox Game Pass Core or Ultimate subscriber, there are eight exclusive titles added to the list including Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, Terraria, Crime Boss: Rockay City, Stray Blade, Miasma Chronicles, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, and Portal Knights.

Next up, some PC action! 505 Games is running sales across Epic Games and Steam.

On Steam, Control Ultimate Edition is 80% off until October 3rd. This version is the complete pack, along with the Season Pass, and all added free content.

There's also another offer alongside, if you've yet to check out Alan Wake, or you want to own it on Steam. It's called the "Control Ultimate Edition + Alan Wake Franchise Bundle" and you get Alan Wake, Alan Wake Collector's Edition Extras, Alan Wake's American Nightmare, and Control Ultimate Edition at 55% off.

You can check out the 505 Games Steam Sale, HERE

As Control originally launched on PC via the Epic Store, both the base game and Control Ultimate Edition are available on the website and are discounted at 75% off. If you're purchasing it for the first time, I highly recommend getting the Ultimate Edition. I'm one of those people who might hold back on purchasing DLC until I see if the game is my thing. However, with only £3 difference between the two editions and the continuation of Alan Wake's story beyond the original game, it's definitely worth committing.
