Following the Summer Game Fest livestream, Remedy and Epic Games have shared a series of new screenshot and footage from Night Springs, the first of two story expansions for Alan Wake 2.
The expansion is separated into three Night Springs episode; Number One Fan, North Star, and Time Breaker. In each section, we are introduced to a new, yet eerily familiar, protagonist exploring their own alternative universe. In teasers, Sam Lake (Creative Director at Remedy) has referred to the concept as being the "What If" of the Remedy Connected Universe.
