Night Springs is the first of two paid expansions for Alan Wake 2, which takes the player to three very different "what if" scenarios in a series of Night Springs episodes. The DLC was recently launched during Summer Games Fest, held just earlier this month, but it looks like the studio won't be slowing down any time soon...
This afternoon, the Alan Wake Twitter page posted an advert featuring snippets from gaming media, and accompanied by a rather interesting statement. The post reads, "Have you tried Night Springs? If you own the Alan Wake 2 Deluxe Edition, you already have the expansion, so visit Night Springs today! Those with the standard edition of the game can buy the Deluxe Upgrade to gain access to Night Springs. (It also includes the second expansion coming later this year)."
While the focus was firmly on Night Springs during Summer Games Fest, the official FAQ was updated to cover a range of new topics about the first expansion and the physical edition, with a small teaser for what fans might expect next. In the buzz of the new expansion, the teaser of what's to come and the release month was easy to miss..
In the FAQ, the studio writes, "What can you tell us about The Lake House expansion? Not much! For starters, it’s coming in October. The Lake House is a mysterious facility situated on the shores of Cauldron Lake set up by an independent government organization to conduct secret research… until something goes wrong. Explore the Lake House and embark on an adventure as the realities of the Pacific Northwest and the Dark Place collide again."
