Three days ago, Remedy Entertainment posted on the Alan Wake 2 channels that their team were actively working on a couple of bugs which had recently snuck into the game.
Today, the studio released a brand new patch, which, fingers crossed, should resolve any issues that you've encountered with stubborn inputs.
The one item which they've stated that they're investigation but is not yet addressed (at least not mentioned in the patch notes) is the audio delay that some Xbox players have reported. In a comment, the Alan Wake page posted, "We would like to assure players who have encountered audio delay on Xbox consoles that the development team is aware of the issues and continues to work on resolving them."
Below are the full official notes for update #16:
PlayStation 5 (1.000.16)
Xbox Series (1.0.0.16)
PC (1.0.16)
- Xbox – Fixed random crashes on game exit or when the game is suspended.
- Fixed cases where players couldn’t exit interactable notes and containers (e.g. Nursery Rhymes or the Shotgun Puzzle in the Convenience Store).
- Fixed the missing Lighthouse keys after opening the last Cult Stash in Cauldron Lake.
- Fixed Saga’s magical crossbow so that it stays in the Shoebox if put in there and does not appear on her back anymore unless carried for real.
