This evening, the nominations for the 13th annual New York Game Awards have been revealed, with Alan Wake 2 nominated across five categories, including Game of the Year.
The 2024 categories and nominations were revealed by Manon Gage (2022 NYGA winner for Best Acting) and Makeda Byfield (Senior Intern) on the official livestream. After the list went live, founder Harold Golberg moderated a special Game of the Year livestream panel discussing the eight chosen adventures with Jordan Minor (author of Video Game of the Year), Carolyn Petit (Kotaku), Ronald Gordon (Roundup columnist), and Kimari Rennis (Senior Intern).
The ceremony is set to take place at the SVA Theatre on January 23rd 2024, and will be broadcast via Twitch and YouTube. We will let you know the times closer to the date.

Game of the Year. For the Game of the Year award, Alan Wake 2 is up against Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Baldur's Gate III, Starfield, Hi-Fi Rush, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, and Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.
Best Music In A Game. For Best Music In A Game, the nominations include The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Hi-Fi Rush, Baldur's Gate III, Final Fantasy XVI, Tchia and Alan Wake 2.
Best Acting In A Game. For Best Acting In A Game, the nominations are: Melaine Liburd (Alan Wake 2), Ben Starr (Final Fantasy XVI), Idris Elba (Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty), Amelia Tyler (Baldur's Gate III), Elizabeth Saydah (Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals) and Neil Newbon (Baldur's Gate III)
Best Writing In A Game. For Best Writing In A Game, Alan Wake II has been nominated alongside Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, Thirsty Suitors, Starfield, Tchia, and Baldur's Gate III.
Best World. For Best World, we have Starfield, Chants of Sennaar, Final Fantasy XVI, Baldur's Gate III, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, and Alan Wake 2.
