With a week to go until the launch of Alan Wake 2, Remedy has published the official PC requirements needed to run the title.
In the diagram shared on the developer's social media, they break down what is needed to run the game at the lowest and highest settings, as well as ray-tracing options.
It's been a highly requested and highly anticipated aspect for PC gamers who are eager to know if their setup can run their machines. Check the table below to find out the recommended hardware.
Alan Wake 2 is set to launch on October 27, 2023, to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
There are two versions of the game available: the Standard Edition and the Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe Edition comes with the digital base game, expansion pass, Nordic Shotgun Skin (Saga), Parliament Shotgun Skin (Alan), Crimson Windbreaker (Saga), Celebrity Suit (Alan), and Lantern Charms (Saga). For those who pre-order either edition, they will also receive an Ornate Revolver Skin (Alan), Survival Resources Pack (Saga), and an Oh Deer Diner Sweater (Saga).

There are some things that remain the same across the board. Regardless of your tier, you will need 16GB RAM, Windows 10/11 64-bit and a hefty 90 GB SSD to download.
Minimum. For minimum requirements, you will have low graphics, 1080p resolution, and 30 frames per second. The GPU you will need is a GeForce RTX 2060 Radeon RX 6600, with 6 GB VRAM, and Intel i5-7600K or AMD equivalent CPU.
Recommended #1. For recommended requirements, with a medium graphics preset, there are two options available. The first option allows for 30 FPS and 1440p Resolution. For that option, you will need to have a GeForce RTX 3060 Radeon RX 6600 XT, 8 GB VRAM, and a Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel equivalent CPU.
Recommended #2. The second recommended setup with a medium graphics preset, 1080p Resolution and 60 FPS requires the GeForce RTX 3070 Radeon RX 6700 XT, 8GB VRAM, and a Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel equivalent.
Ultra. And finally, if you're looking to play with "Ultra" settings, including high graphics preset, 2160p resolution, and 60 FPS you will need a pretty impressive setup. They recommend a GeForce RTX 4070 Radeon RX 7800 XT GPU, 12GB VRAM, and a Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel equivalent.

Low. For Medium Ray Tracing (Low), with 1080p resolution and 30 FS, you will need the GeForce RTX 3070 Radeon RX 6800 XT, 8 GB VRAM, and Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel equivalent.
Medium. For Medium Ray Tracing (Medium) path tracing on, with 1080p resolution and 60 FPS, you will need the GeForce RTX 4070, 12GB VRAM, and Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel equivalent.
High. For High Ray Tracking (High) Path Tracing On, with 2160p resolution and 60 FPS, you will need GeForce RTX 4080, 16 GB VRAM, and Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel equivalent.
