To celebrate International Women's Day, Humble Bundle has put together an exciting game pack featuring bold female protagonists to inspire the women of tomorrow.
Alongside Control Ultimate Edition, the pack contains Syberia: The World Before, Praey for the Gods, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, Sable, Dreamscaper, Call of the Sea, and Batora: Lost Haven. All games can be unlocked with a donation of at least $15. And it's definitely worth it; each has received high scores from Steam players.
While the game industry is continuing to improve, only 24% of developers at the moment are women. The Humble Heroines pack has selected two groups that aim to inspire the next generation. Purchases of Humble Heroines: Warriors, Dreams, and God Slayers, will help support two incredibly worthy organisations; Girls Make Games Scholarship Fund and Girls Who Code.
First up is Girls Make Games, a team who organises summer camps, workshops and game jams for upcoming designers, creators, and engineers. Over 6,400 girls have been supported, through their programs since its creation in 2014.
The second organisation is Girls Who Code, which aims to close the gender gap in technology. Their goal is to inspire and support girls between the ages of 13 and 17 through computer science programs and clubs.
Now, a little about the event which inspired the bundle. Started in 1911, International Women's Day (IWD) highlights the strength and successes of women, while also highlighting key areas of improvement still to be made in society.
