Between March 20-24th, Remedy will be attending the Game Developer Conference (GDC) at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, USA.
Originally started in April 1988, GDC is a networking event for video game professionals looking to connect and advance their careers and expertise.
With the pandemic still a priority and concern at large gatherings like this, proof of a COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result will be required to attend GDC 2023. Although masks are not specifically required, a lot of people will be travelling and the organisation is encouraging attendees to stay safe and mask up.
Prices for attendance start at $293, so if you're working at a studio, you might want to roll for persuasion.
At the event, Remedy will be talking to potential applicants, and Patrik Rosander will be taking to the Room 207 stage to talk about matte painting. Here is what's happening later this month...

The use cases presented cover a variety of scenarios and provide enough information to start using matte paintings in ongoing or future projects to achieve a greater visual fidelity and impact.
