Within the past week, news has emerged of changes behind the scenes of the potential Alan Wake TV show. Variety reported exclusively on Wednesday that the showrunner, Peter Calloway, who originally signed on to the project when it was announced back in September 2018, has left. His departure comes as a result of conflicting project schedules.
While the search for a new showrunner is underway, Jon Jashni and Jeff Ludwig have joined the project as executive producer and project.
While still early days for the show, in mid-May, Remedy announced that there had been movement within the project, with AMC (known for TV shows such as Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead) buying the rights for the adaptation. The reveal has been the latest official news from the developers regarding the project.
