Ilkka Villi's directorial debut short-film, ToDo, will make its debut at this year's Tampere Film Festival.
Lasting eight minutes, ToDo was hand-selected by judges from a total of 7500 entries and is one of thirty five national works to be shown.
Announcing the acceptance of his film on his official Instagram, Ilkka jokes, "I also wrote and produced the film and acted in it – the egomaniac that I am. But my greatest achievement by far was to be able to lure an absolutely stellar group of people to make this little, very independent, film with me."
Credits for the upcoming film include: Juge Heikkilä (Director of Photography), Iikka Hesse (Editor), Sami Kiiski (Sound), Viitasen Piia & Matias Tyni (Music), Juha Hippi (First Assistant Director), Sami Haartemo (Visual Effects & Graphics), Pasi Mäkelä (Colourist), with Petteri Linnus (Post Production Producer).
For Remedy fans, Ilkka Villi will be a familiar face, with the actor also portraying the lovable but gruff Alan Wake in both the games and live action sequences. He returns to the role in Alan Wake 2.
The 52nd Tampere Film Festival will take place between 9th-13th March 2022, held on-site at select cinemas and online on the Festhome TV platform. An award ceremony for the best submissions will be held on Saturday, March 12th. You can learn more about the event, HERE.
