On Thursday, Remedy returned to Twitch with their second Autumn livestream, this time delving deeper into Control's audio and the process of bringing the atmosphere to life through sounds.
For the broadcast, Vida Starčević (Community Manager) was joined by Sam Hughes (Audio Designer) and Juha Vainio (Executive Producer) in a seventy-minute-long interview, in which they revealed some weird and wonderful audio-related development stories.
Accompanying their discussion, the studio continued their playthrough of the newly launched AWE DLC pack which both special guests had worked on.
At the start of the year, Remedy made the move to work remotely, as part of the international effort to reduce the spread of Covid-19. The precautions also impacted the studio's livestreams, with developers since calling in remotely (and sometimes internationally!) to talk about their experiences and answer community questions.
The first Autumn livestream was "Story in Control! Let's play AWE and chat with the writer and narrative designer!" with special guests Brooke Maggs (now Senior Narrative Designer) and Clay Murphy (now Senior Writer). If you missed it, you can catch it up HERE!
For the final livestream of the season, the developers are shifting things up with a look back, "Quantum Break: Back In Time" with Thomas Hudson (former Senior Designer) and Elmeri Raitanen (former Lead VFX Artist). The broadcast is scheduled for October 8th at 9am PT / 5pm BST / 7pm EEST.
