The Golden Joysticks Awards are back again this year and voting is now open!
If you're unfamiliar with the occassion, the Golden Joystick Awards is an annual event which celebrates the best games released over the past twelve months. Due to the current situation, this year's ceremony will be a virtual event, and will be livesteamed on Twitch, Facebook, and YouTube on November 24th 2020. Voting is open to the public to choose their winners, and this year, there are nineteen categories to choose from.
Included in the judge's shortlist is Control's AWE DLC which has been nominated in the "Best Game Expansion" category.
Competing for the trophy is Final Fantasy XIV Patch 5.3 - Reflections in Crystal (Square Enix), The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu (Maxis), Total War: WARHAMMER 2 - The Warden and the Paunch (Creative Assembly), No Man's Sky: Origin (Hello Games), Pokemon Sword & Shield - Expansion Pass (Game Freak), Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath (Shiver Entertainment, QLOC), and The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon (Obsidian Entertainment).
