For those who like their games with a little bit less DRM, today the Control Ultimate Edition launches on GOG!
For the Control Ultimate Edition, players will be able to play the base game, along with both DLC packs, The Foundation and AWE. It's also the most up-to-date version of the title, featuring updates such as The Expeditions mission, photo mode, Assist Mode, and the ability to replay boss fights through the arcade machines. The price is set at £34.99, but temporarily sees a reduction of 20% to celebrate the launch.
Winner of over 80 awards, Control is a visually stunning third-person action-adventure that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Blending open-ended environments with the signature world-building and storytelling of renowned developer, Remedy Entertainment, Control presents an expansive and intensely gratifying gameplay experience.
To celebrate the launch of the game on GOG, there's a special 20% off promotion until 15th September 2020, 00:00 GMT / 16th September 2020, 02:00 BST and 04:00 EEST.
While Steam and GOG are the first platforms to feature the Control Ultimate Edition, the version will also be rolling out across consoles in the coming months.
In two weeks time, on September 10th, the digital edition will be available on the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4 and XBOX One. However, those are the only concrete dates we've got for the new edition so far.
At the end of 2020, the Control Ultimate Edition will be available to purchase in-store as a physical edition for PlayStation 4 and XBOX One AND will launch digitally on PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X.
If you would like to get the physical edition of the game for the PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X, make sure to keep an eye out as that is due to launch in "early 2021".
