Today Remedy debuted the first fifteen minutes of Control's upcoming DLC, AWE in a special livestream, but that wasn't the only surprise the developers had in store! Closing out the broadcast, Sam Lake (Creative Director at Remedy) announced a new art book, The Art & Making of Control, in collaboration with Future Press.
The limited-edition collection features gorgeous artwork from the game's art team including concept artwork, renders and sketches, as well as a look at Control's game design, VFX work, narrative design, creative direction, world-building and costume design.
In their announcement, Future Press talked more about their new partnership and what interested them about the game, "Remedy have long been one of our favorite studios, and they set a new benchmark with Control. Its brilliant third-person combat mechanics and staggering feats of world building add up to what we genuinely think is one of the most outstanding and singular games of recent times."
The collection spans an impressive 384 pages and measures 11" x 8.5", so it's a sizable beast! While the project is still currently wrapping up, the collection is set to launch by the end of the year and will cost £49.99 / $ 59.99 / € 59.99.
