We're in the final hours where gamers can donate and claim itch.io's Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality! The collection exceeded its original goal of $5 million by an additional $2.5 million, with last-minute donations still coming in. The bundle emerged following the murder of George Floyd in Minnesota, US, which has sparked numerous protests worldwide, highlighting racial injustices and systemic racism, particularly in the services we need to trust.
In early June, the platform announced its new collaboration with international developers who offered their titles in a special time-exclusive bundle. In their reveal, Itch.io stated, "we live in a time of racial injustice, inequality, and police brutality against black people. We hope that everyone takes a stand in any way that they can. We’ve partnered with creators from all across our platform to support organizations that are working directly with those affected."
All the money collected by the bundle will be split equally between two organisations; the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and Community Bail Fund. You can choose the amount you donate, but you will need to donate at least $5 to unlock the collection.
Included in the collection are some surprising titles such as Night in the Woods, Old Man's Journey, Octodad: Dadliest Catch, Oxenfree, and Cook, Serve Delicious 2, as well as many more. There's also a number of available assets if you want to create your own adventures too.
