6th March 2020 Remedy's The Foundation DLC Team Completes Pack Ahead of March 26th Launch

Work on Control's DLC pack, The Foundation, wrapped up today, three weeks ahead of its scheduled launch on March 26th.

The upcoming level is the first paid expansion pack for the game. If you own the Control Standard Edition (£49.99), you will need to purchase the Control Season Pass (£19.99) to play both The Foundation and A.W.E. If you have the Control Digital Deluxe Edition (£64.99) the level will already be included.

In The Foundation, Jesse Faden will be exploring the roots of the Oldest House, discovering secrets even unknown to the Bureau. More details including a trailer, screenshots of the upcoming level, and patch notes are all incoming and will be posted over the next three weeks.

To celebrate the completion of the game's first paid expansion, the team took a group photo, complete with champagne. Congratulations to the team on the completion of the DLC!

In an earlier tweet posted by the studio's Communications Director, Thomas Puha revealed that Control's March update will also see some new updates including an improved map and "some other requested quality of life improvements". He also expressed disappointment at not being able to talk more about the studio and the game at this year's GDC, which was recently postponed until August 2020, and confirmed that the studio will not be in attendance at SXSW which is still currently going ahead. Both cancellations are due to the potential spread of Covid-19.
