Just moments ago, Poets of the Fall and Remedy announced a continuation of their partnership, as the band and studio collaborated once again for the upcoming title, Control.
The reveal came in the form of a video, with Sam Lake (Creative Director at Remedy) and Marko Saaresto (Vocalist and co-founder of Poets of the Fall) talking to fans about their latest collaboration. In the reveal, the duo announced that the song, The Dark Disquiet (from the band's latest album, Ultraviolet), will also make an appearance in the game, along with a special surprise for players.
A bit of information about the band's history: Poets of the Fall has had a long history with Remedy, which officially started back in 2003 with Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne. For the game, POTF created their first song, Late Goodbye based on a poem by Sam Lake. Later, the band returned for Alan Wake, creating the custom songs The Poet and the Muse and Children of the Elder God. Their song War, from their album, Twilight Theater, also made an appearance in the game. Their latest project with the developers has been with Alan Wake's American Nightmare. Balance Slays the Demon was created specifically for the title, and The Happy Song (which also appeared in the album Temple of Thought) also appeared in the game. The song Labyrinth from their Clearview album was inspired by Quantum Break.

Marko Saaresto [MS]: Hello everybody.
SL: We have been collaborating artistically for quite a few years. And quite a few game projects.
MS: So we’ve known each other forever, and we are old- well, let’s not even go there, man.
SL: And the reason we are here today is that we are doing it again with our new game, Control. We have new music from Poets of the Fall in the game, My Dark Disquiet.
MS: Very dark.
SL: From the latest album-
MS: Ultraviolet-
SL: It’s out now! But that’s not all. That’s not all that we have in Control. Like with Alan Wake, we were doing custom material purposely tailored for the game experience, and we are doing that again, for Control. Something new, pushing it forward, innovating. Something that no one has ever done before.
MS: Never done.
SL: That’s in Control, we don’t tell you what it is but playing through Control, you will come across it.
