We may already be in Spring in the Northern Hemisphere, but Winter flu season seems to be hanging around a little bit more. Before I disappear into a Ibuprofen and hot lemon drink pool of uselessness, I wanted to post about two awesome Remedy-related articles which were recently posted!
A few weeks ago, Thomas Puha (Head of Communications at Remedy) launched a new series on the official website in which he interviews developers across a wide range of departments. Kickstarting the series was an interview with Remedy's Game Director Mikael Kasurinen, who spoke about "P7" and the future of Remedy titles. Then we had Elmeri Raitanen, Lead Visual Effects Artist at Remedy, who talked about creating broken time and getting into the industry. Finally two weeks ago, there was Heli Salomaa, the Costume Designer at Remedy, on creating a character's look.
This week, Remedy published a fourth interview, this time speaking to Ethan Watson who is currently the Senior Engine Programmer at the company, but has worn many different hats throughout the production of Quantum Break. In his interview, he spoke to Thomas about moving to Finland (from Australia), his different roles, working as a Senior Engine Programmer, and stand-up comedy. You can check out the full interview on the Remedy website, HERE.
In addition to the new interview on the Remedy website, there was also another interview published this week. Mikaela Öberg-Mattila spoke to Develop-Online about recruitment opportunities and how to prepare your application and job interview. If you're interested in getting a job at the company now or possibly in the future, make sure to check out the interview, HERE for more details. On a job opening related note, Remedy is looking for a Character Artist, Environmental Animator, Game Designer, Mission Designer / Senior Mission Designer, Senior Concept Artist, Senior Game Designer, Senior Graphics Programmer, Senior Programmer, and Tools Programmer.
