Gamescom 2015 was a huge event for Remedy. Events kicked off on Tuesday afternoon with Quantum Break taking centre stage during the XBOX Media Briefing. New gameplay footage was shown which gave fans a glimpse into the game's combat mechanics and story as well as announcing it's star cast which includes Shawn Ashmore, Aidan Gillen, Dominic Monaghan and Lance Reddick. We also got our first fixed release date, April 5th 2016!
After the demo, Sam Lake (Creative Director at Remedy) and Shawn Ashmore (Lead Actor) introduced a new trailer which showcased the never-before-seen live action elements of the title. You can watch the briefing, HERE at 32:45.
Things didn't cool down after the demo and over the course of the event new screenshots, new cast announcements and a new trailer were released.
Each day brought new interviews and previews. During their duration in Germany, Sam and Shawn spoke to numerous gaming sites including GameInformer, XBOX On, Destructoid, Twitch, IGN, Polygon, IGN again and XBOX Daily. Several sites also got an opportunity to check out the game's behind-closed-doors demo including Digital Spy, Gamespot, GameInformer, GamesRadar and Engadget. It wasn't just shown to the press, as Remedy had another booth on the show floor for fans.
