Three years ago today, The Sudden Stop went live. It took a year before that of planning, which included a dozen website drafts and probably half a dozen actual templates before I settled on the current design and layout. The decision to actually post it was pretty intimidating at first; the site had been ready for about three months but it took a friend to push me to get it finalised.
Creating this website was one of the best decisions I've ever made though.
One of the reasons why I was nervous at first was the fear over what the reception might be. There are online communities where things can turn ugly if you have a controversial view which could just even be your favourite game in the series, or a particular opinion over a business decision. Once you've been in a group like that, you tend to tread carefully. So when the site started, I was nervous about telling anyone about it at first, about posting it on the forums, or emailing anyone. On the day that it was announced, all that changed. Instead the community was warm and welcoming. It's something which I'm still constantly impressed by and grateful for. Thank you for making these past three years awesome. :)
To celebrate the third anniversary, there is a raffle in which one lucky winner will receive a copy of Death Rally (€9.99) on Steam. Death Rally was Remedy's first adventure; the version being given away is the remake created for PC and mobile devices in 2011. The original 1996 can be downloaded for free but if you want to relive the adventure with a modern overhaul, you should definitely enter. The team really expanded on the title and upgraded everything, while still making sure it has those elements which gripped fans in the 90s.
To enter answer the following question:
Q) What aspect of Quantum Break are you looking forward to checking out the most?

One entry per person, per social media page. The winner will be picked at random by random.org and will be announced at the end of next week. This is open worldwide, but restrictions may apply on countries with limits on internet competitions. If the winner doesn't respond within two weeks of the competition ending, a new winner may be picked. Please note that this is an unofficial competition. Remedy is not involved with the prize, arranging the contest nor creating rules. Blah, blah, blah boring terms and conditions, here's a photogenic turtle. Deadline is Wednesday 11th February 2014 at 23:59 GMT.
Thank you so much for your support these past three years, you've been incredible!
