Lieutenant Steiner,
We think the Catalyst is finally working. We won't know for certain until the images start to come in, but all signs thus far are promising. I understand that Commander Fontaine is on-site to inspect our operation. The Board may be concerned about our methods, but they should recognize what it took for us to get here. We not only found the Catalst after it was deliberately buried in a feigned mining accident decades ago, but we've even managed to excavate it and miraculously return it to working order. Our efforts should be commended, not punished.
Whether or not the Catalyst Project should have been resurrected is another question entirely.
