After a decade of working as a writer at Remedy, Mikko Rautalahti announced that he's setting sail for new adventures in Finland's games industry.
He joined the company during the early days of Alan Wake's development as a senior writer where he co-wrote the original game with Sam and wrote the Alan Wake DLC packs (The Signal and The Writer). While Quantum Break started to get underway, Sam moved up a Creative Director position, and Mikki wrote Alan Wake's American Nightmare. Under Quantum Break, he became the Story Team Manager and later the Narrative Lead. In addition to his work behind the scenes, over the past ten years, he has become an important and notable member of shaping the Remedy community. (I'm going to miss him like crazy in the fandom.)
In addition to his work at Remedy, he also wrote the Iron Sky comic in 2013 and worked on the script for Nightwish's Imaginaerum in 2012.
He's going to be staying in the industry although the location of which is currently undisclosed. If you want to stay up to date on his upcoming adventures, follow him on Twitter at www.twitter.com/mikkirmd.
