Oskari "Ozz" Häkkinen (Head of Franchise) revealed today, in an interview with CVG, that Alan Wake has sold over 2 million copies after the launch of the game on PC. He also confirms that the series has a future and Remedy will be continuing with it.
"We've moved over two million copies - that's including PC. So after a slow start it's turning into something really positive. It's definitely had legs. I think narrative experiences just have a tendency for that"
Personally I was a little concerned if the franchise might be sold to another developer, but his reply when asked if it would bring the developers the $45 million like Max Payne if it was sold, was; "That'd be fun, yeah, but Alan Wake is close to our hearts," literally, they have Alan Wake t-shirts!
